Launchy is a cross-platform application for Windows and Linux, that lets you launch documents, files, folders or bookmarks with just a few keystrokes.
Although, Windows 7 and Windows Vista have a similar search box function, but Launchy offers more features than them. A new version of Launchy 2.5 (beta)  is now available for download. The new version offers many features which include:

• Fast performance.
• The icons are displayed clearly.
• The environment variables are changed according to the system changes.
• There are more controls which include: Shift+Tab or Shift+Backspace deletes previous tab.
• Shift+Ctrl+Enter launches in elevated mode.
• Launchy now has an icon in the system tray.
