Synopsis
1985 Sitapur a small town in UP. Riots carnage and bloodshed lead a simple innocent girl, Mumtaz to escape to Bombay with her maternal uncle. Once in Bombay, the struggle for survival takes its toll. With no choice Mumtaz dances in a beer bar, Chandni Bar. Pothia Sawant, (Atul Kulkarni) an underworld gangster marries her and soon they have two children. However Sawant is killed in a police encounter. With no help, Mumtaz returns to her old haunt. Chandni Bar. As her kids grow to become teenagers, Mumtaz is caught in a dilemma, to tell her kids about herself or not?
