Follow the instructions below on how to root the Nexus S with Android 2.3.
- Go to fastboot / bootloader mode by holding volume up + power buttons.
- Download the ClockworkMod recovery, and transfer it to your SD card root.
- Then boot into Clockwork recovery and install the Superuser zip file. Download Superuser.
- Your Neuxs S is now rooted and also has a custom recovery!
